Idea Document

The World of Type Design — On the Shoulders of Giants reproduces the 20 articles on typography in IDEA magazine into a 530-page volume. Since late 1980s when postscript and Macintosh revolutionized all the typography design and its creative process, a lot of articles on digital fonts, new typefaces, historical studies, internet and other new technologies have appeared on IDEA. This book provides a perspective on what happened in typography in the past quarter century. Dwiggins Revisited, an article published by IDEA magazine in March 2008, issue No. 327 is included in Idea Document.
