Lettering & Type: Creating Letters and Designing Typefaces, a book Kontour was asked to contribute with examples of type design. The book includes a foreword by Ellen Lupton and is published by Princeton Architectural Press. Authored by Bruce Willen and Nolen Strals, the book promises to provide real-world perspective from contemporary type interested designers.

EYE magazine, 71/spring issue

Sibylle Hagmann was invited to contribute to an article titled “Golden Age?” edited by Deborah Littlejohn in EYE magazine, 71/Spring issue, 2009. Littlejohn collected opinions from designers about whether we are in a golden age of type design. Used metaphorically, Littlejohn was interested in my position as a type designer, familiarity with recent technological innovations, as well as my position as a design educator.
